Broccoletto is native to the eastern of Mediterranean and its name comes from the Latin meaning "sprout". They are characterized by short stem, wavy leaves of deep green color. It is a green vegetable similar to broccoli, but with smaller peaks and longer thin stems. They have few calories, about 27 per 100 grams. The substances inside broccoletti act as anti-cancer of the intestine, lung and breast. Moreover it is diuretic and anti-anemic.
